I have waited SO long to share this wedding – This has got to by my FAVORITE wedding of my 2012 season!  What makes it my favorite, is the attention to detail that the bride, Katie put into every aspect of her big day.  Katie and Brian were married on their family property in Troutdale, Oregon – and you sure can’t tell from the photos!  They completely transformed the grounds of their property with the help of rentaled farm tables from A&B Creative and pretty decor details and flowers everywhere you looked!

Katie wore a glorious 1920′s vintage inspired Claire Pettibone lace gown, and she looked AMAZING!  There are SO many more photos I would have loved to share, but this post is so long already!  Please head over to Deyla Huss Photography‘s blog to check out more images of this amazing wedding!  It was such a pleasure working with Katie and her amazing family on this wedding.  I would do it all over again if I could!  Congrats you two!

I am thrilled to share Julia + Kirk’s wedding with you photographed by Powers Photography!  This wedding took place at Zenith Vineyard in Oregon on a glorious day in early September.  Julia and Kirk were just radiant and you could seriously feel the love as family and friends began to arrive for the ceremony.  Most had traveled from out of town, and what a perfect location to spend the day and celebrate a marriage!  Planning was executed flawlessly by No Ordinary Affair for this wedding and it was such a pleasure to work with all these great vendors!

It’s been a bit since I last blogged, but I am so excited to share with you all now my favorite bouquets of my 2012 wedding season!  The funnest part of this post is that my Chapel Designer friends from across the globe have also blogged about their favorite bouquets, and you can find the links to their posts at the end of this post!  I’m am a proud member of the Chapel Designers group, and can’t tell you how inspiring and uplifting it is to call these amazing designers my friends!

This first bouquet was designed for bride Genovieve, for June wedding at The Reserve Golf Course last year.  I had fun playing with glorious Cafe au Lait dahlias imported from California, Pink O’hara and Romantik Antique garden roses, blush pink Hydrangea and Calla Lilies, and just a touch of soft orange Roses. This next bouquet was created for bride Kellie for her June wedding at the Oregon Golf Club.  I got to work with tons of succulents last season, but they weren’t always featured in the bridal bouquets, and I just love the color and texture that they bring to this gorgeous bouquet!  In this bouquet, I used coral charm Peonies, blush pink Peonies & Hydrangea, peach Juliet Garden Roses, accented by grey Dusty Miller and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus leaves.  Photo by: Me!

Ok, just ONE more!  I realize that the first 3 bouquets were kind of all in the pink/peach color family… What can I say, I had a LOT of pink weddings last year!  But this last one is a breathtaking deep red bouquet created for bride Allison for her wedding at Zenith Vineyards in August. In this gorgeous bouquet are plum Calla Lilies, deep red Dahlias, red Piano Garden Roses, “hearts” red Roses, and red/dark pink Cymbidium Orchids.  I really loved how dark and lush this bouquet was, with lots of texture from blooms, but no foliage whatsoever. Joel + Michelle were married last November in Portland, Oregon at Agape Bible Church, and their beautiful reception was held at The Oregon Golf Club.  I’ve been dying to share this gorgeous wedding with everyone!!  Joel is my nephew, and the first of my 20+ nieces/nephews to get married, so this wedding was an extra special honor for me to be a part of!

We had a clean and modern color palette of Grey, White, Lavender, with touches of Blush Pink and Peach to warm things up a bit so it didn’t seem too much like a winter wedding.  The bridal bouquet was a mix of white hydrangea, Juliet garden roses, peach sweetheart roses, and grey dusty miller.  The bridesmaids carried blooms in all colors of our palette – peach Juliet garden roses, blush pink garden roses, lavender lisianthus, grey dusty miller, and white hydrangea.

I love this photos so much – These are Joel’s four beautiful sisters… I am such a proud Aunty!

For the ceremony, we designed gorgeous giant babies breath poofs down the aisle, a gorgeously up-lit chiffon drape for the ceremony seating area.

For the reception floral and decor, we designed tall and short centerpieces featuring blush, peach and lavender blooms, as well as tall babies breath poof centerpieces.  We also added a nice glitzy touch with lots of silver mercury glass votives on the tables.

Just wanted to share a few arrangements I’ve made in the past few months and that I haven’t had a chance to post.  I just love it when I get to play with leftover flowers, or design for a more intimate event – and I even design occasionally for past clients’ birthdays, anniversary’s etc.

This first arrangement I had SO much fun with.  It’s totally packed full of of flowers. Dahlias [oh how I miss summer blooms!], gorgeous open roses, and a few sprigs of millet for texture.  I created an asymmetrical shape just for fun –  this beauty was a special order my assistants birthday from her loving husband!

This next arrangement was designed in a glass cube vase, and I designed a lush arrangement with white hydrangea, white ranunculus, yellow mini calla lilies, yarrow, and grey dusty miller foliage – a lush, yet modern arrangement delivered to a past bride for her 1 year anniversary – again gifted by her sweet husband! I had fun clustering the blooms to really make them pop!

Last but not least, last month we celebrated by sister-in-law’s bridal shower [wedding is in a week and a half!!] and I designed just a few of these sweet little arrangements to pretty up the party and for guests to take home!  Gilded [aka: gold spray-painted] goblets held a combination of hydrangea, pretty peach roses, ranunculus and greens for texture!
